The IDS is an international dental show, which takes place every two years in Cologne. It is the leading global trade fair and at the same time the industry event for the dental technician craft, the dental traders and the dental industry. At this show, the entire dental market will be reflected in breadth as well as in depth. Here, the dental and dental technical area are merged. Furthermore infection control and maintenance as well as information, communication and organizational systems, including all services belonging to the dental industry are part of the IDS.
The fair is only accessible for trade visitors who are coming more and more from abroad which emphasize the internationality of the fair. Especially keeping in contact with colleagues, suppliers and business partners is paramount for the visitors. In addition, visitors can receive detailed information about the latest technologies and developments in the market and have the possibility to experience innovations from around the world live. The fair is accompanied by a first-class framework program of live demonstrations, performances and presentations. 2015, the exhibition has been extended to the IDS Career Day, which works as information day of the industry for trainees, students, graduates and young professionals and enriches the program of IDS.
On the whole the organisers welcomed on the 5 days of the fair, from 12. March to 16. March 2019, about 2058 exhibitors from 56 countries and 125327 visitors from 149 countries on the IDS in Cologne.
